The Solqar star
Every berry wears a star.
Look at the tip of a blueberry and you’ll find a small five-pointed crown. It’s the star inside our Q, and it’s on every pack that leaves Tekke.

The Solqar star
Look at the tip of a blueberry and you’ll find a small five-pointed crown. It’s the star inside our Q, and it’s on every pack that leaves Tekke.
Origin
In the summer of 2024 this was an empty hillside on the edge of İnegöl. By that autumn it was a field prepared for a single crop: blueberries.
Grown in pots
Every bush grows in its own pot on clean ground cover, so we control the growing medium and root zone that blueberries need.
Water and shade
Drip lines feed each pot at the root and irrigation is monitored. Above the rows, a post-and-wire system carries shade netting.
Varieties
Toro opens the season, Bluecrop follows mid-season and Darrow ripens late. Each spring the bushes flower in small white bells, and every pollinated bell becomes a berry.
First harvest, June 2026
We wait for the deep blue and the silver bloom on the skin. Then the berries are packed fresh in 125 g and 250 g punnets, or frozen in 500 g and 1 kg bags.

Solqar Farm is the blueberry farm of SOLQAR Tarım Hayvancılık ve Gıda Ticaret Ltd. Şti. In the summer of 2024 the land was an empty hillside. By that autumn we had turned it into a field of potted blueberries.
We focus on one fruit: the blueberry, known in Türkiye as maviyemiş or yaban mersini. From choosing varieties to irrigation, we make our decisions around what this fruit needs.

Field log
We photographed every stage while building the field. Dates show the month each photo was taken.
How we grow
Each bush grows in its own pot. This lets us control the growing medium and root zone that blueberries need.
Drip lines deliver water directly to every pot, and we monitor irrigation regularly.
A post-and-wire system carrying shade netting runs over the field.
In April 2026 we had the field's soil and irrigation water analysed by a laboratory.

Varieties
Our planting plan includes three blueberry varieties.
Mid-season
One of the most widely grown blueberry varieties in the world. Medium-to-large, firm, light-blue berries.
Early–mid season
Ripens early to mid-season. Large, firm berries in tight clusters that ripen close together.
Late season
Ripens towards the end of the season. One of the largest-fruited varieties, with a distinctive, slightly tart flavour.
These are general variety traits. Harvest dates change each year with the weather.
